What can I expect?

Schedule an Intake

Contact our office to schedule a time to meet with one of our therapists!

You are welcome to include some info on what you would like to work on, or you are welcome to tell that in your session.

15-30 Minute Free Intake Session

During the intake session your therapist will gather information such as info  about your background, current stressors, and coping skills. You will also be able to talk about the goals you wish to accomplish in therapy.

Talk about Options with your Therapist

During the intake you will be able to discuss the options for what kind of therapy is available, as well as how often you will be able to meet.

You will also be given additional resources as needed.

Pricing

Xenia Counseling does not bill through insurance. Since we are not in-network we currently only accept self-pay. Current options for self-pay are

  • All major Credit Cards

  • 3rd Party Payer

  • Clergy Pay (ex: Bishop Pay)

  • HSA

Currently, our session pricing is $150- $175/therapeutic hour which consists of 50 min in session with the therapist and 10 min for the therapist to document.

Effective January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act, which Congress passed as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, is designed to protect patients from surprise bills for emergency services at out-of-network facilities or for out-of-network providers at in-network facilities, holding them liable only for in-network cost-sharing amounts. The No Surprises Act also enables uninsured patients to receive a good faith estimate of the cost of care.

Policies to be aware of:

Waiting Room Policy:

To promote a place of safety and security we ask all clients to enter in from the front of the building (through the west entrance) to come to our Waiting Room. When you arrive please have a seat and wait to be invited into the therapy offices by your therapist.

Cancellation policy:

We request 48 hours notice for cancellations. Unless in cases of extenuating circumstances (as identified by the therapist) client will be charged the full price of the session with late cancellations.

Cancellations made prior to this window will have no penalty.

The timing of cancellation is important to help 3 things: the therapist to know what availability they have, the client to know they have consistency with their therapy, and clients who need appointments the time to have those.

Late policy:

If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment time, it will be treated as a late cancellation.

We understand therapy is a large time commitment. We work to ensure a full hour for your session and clinical notes which is why we have policies to protect your time and the time of our therapists.

We know that as you make the time for these important appointments you will see more of your growth and healing.

3 Session Policy:

To help clients be up to date in their Statements and not incur too large of debt, and to pay our Therapists promptly, we have instituted a 3 session policy.

If a client's account has 3 sessions (or a total of $450) that is not paid we will do the following:

-Schedule a session (4th session) with the client to review safety planning and discuss means to pay therapy Statements in full. This will be up to the discretion of the Directors in communication with the Therapist.

-Pause all sessions until payment has been received.

*If client is being paid by a 3rd party, we will work with the client to communicate to the 3rd party for the payment.

Questions & Answers

Q: I have an Intake, what can I expect during that?

A: In our intakes  you can expect our amazing clinical team to meet with you to get a clear idea of what brought you to look into therapy. In 15-30 min we meet with you to discuss your background, the current things you are doing to help regulate and what goals you have. We will then explain what therapy options we recommend for you, and answer any questions. We will let you know a plan of treatment and give you any additional resources as needed.
